Football fans who currently have a credit card account with Nationwide could be in with a chance of flying to South Africa next year for the 2010 FIFA World Cup .
Collaborating with Visa, the building society is offering the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to customers who use their credit card at least nine times between now and December 31st, entering them into the prize draw.
Two VIP packages including a return flight, transport around the country, four nights in a hotel and tickets to see two group matches are up for grabs, with every effort being made by Nationwide to make them England fixtures.
Chris Rhodes, product and marketing director for Nationwide, said: "By running this promotion in the busy Christmas shopping period when people are most likely to be using their credit cards, we are offering existing card holders the chance to win the trip of a lifetime to see two group matches at the 2010 FIFA World Cup ."
Recent research by Confused.com showed that 40 per cent of British consumers are too afraid of the consequences of being rejected for a credit card to even apply for the products.
