People who buy electrical goods on their Nationwide credit card will benefit from extended warranty insurance, the company has reminded customers.
The firm states that the extra credit card insurance should be perfect for those buying gadgets as Father's Day gifts .
Jeremy Wood, Nationwide's divisional director, said: "Nationwide credit card holders who purchase an electrical item as a gift for Father's Day can take advantage of our extended warranty insurance free of charge."
The extended credit card warranty applies to electrical items such as iPods, digital radios, camcorders, portable DVD players and Freeview boxes, he added.
Credit card customers will need to register the new product within 60 days and they will then get an extra year's free warranty, Mr Wood explained.
Earlier this week, MoneyExpert.com warned that people who are coming off a zero per cent balance transfer deal on their credit card face higher rates of interest than in the past.
