Barclaycard have launched a new form of Visa card that functions as an everyday loose-change and travel facility.
The Barclaycard OnePulse Visa card is designed to operate as a credit card for everyday items including snacks and newspapers without the need to enter a pin. The card can also be used as an Oyster card, and is set to further improve convenience for Londoners.
The card will cut down time, because it functions by being tapped on a reader which automatically charges the cost of the transaction. Many retailers are lining up to accept the cashless payment system, which is expected to spread beyond the capital quickly.
Sean Gardner, of MoneyExpert.com, reportedly commented: "This is a lifestyle card, which is very focused on Londoners. If you're in a shop and you can pay for things in a matter of seconds without having to queue for ages, then it's worth it, especially if you don't like carrying cash around."
