A new credit card guide has been launched, with the aim of helping young people manage their credit card spending effectively, and be more responsible about debt .
Apacs, the UK payment association, have launched a brand new guide that should prove invaluable to those UK consumers who read it. Apparently, some 86 per cent of young UK consumers between 18 and 24 own a debit or credit card. Young Britons, according to Apacs, need to understand their personal finance options better.
As well as this primary guide, Apacs are also offering a secondary guide for patents, to help them offer sound financial advice to children.
The director of communications at Apacs, Sandra Quinn, reportedly commented: "Young people are spending ever-increasing amounts of money and it is therefore vital that they make a considered decision before choosing which product they use. Being able to manage their personal finances is one of the most important life skills a young person can acquire, and these guides give both young people and their parents a useful introduction to some of the issues that they will face."
