Credit card customers looking for a competitively-priced deal may be interested to hear that Nationwide Building Society has altered charges during the introductory periods of two of its credit cards.
From today, people who sign up to the Gold or Classic credit card from the financial services provider will be able to benefit from zero per cent interest on all purchases for three months.
On top of this, the credit card lender is also offering a zero per cent rate on all balance transfers for ten months - along with a 2.5 per cent fee.
Stuart Bernau, executive director at the financial services provider, expressed his belief that the new terms made the credit card a more attractive proposition to borrowers.
"The change we have made to our credit card pricing follows significant shifts in the market over the past year and ensures we continue to offer our customers a competitive credit card product," he said.
Last week, financing website MoneyExpert sought to remind holidaymakers that they may be entitled to complimentary protection if they book part of their trip on a credit card.
According to the organisation, 75 per cent of credit cards include travel insurance cover - although it suggests that many borrowers may be unaware of the fact.
