Emergency Cards
It may be useful to have a credit card specifically for emergency use only. If this is the case you will need to be careful and select a company that is easy to contact and offers a high enough credit limit to cover any eventualities that may arise.
It may be worth putting occasional large purchases on this card and paying in full the balance
when you get your statement. This shows the credit card company that
you have a good payment history, so they can offer you a high credit limit that will cover you if needs be.
We advise that you try and build up an emergency fund so that you do not incur a large debt should you need your emergency card.
